Montessori is a child-centered educational approach with peer and multi-age group learning. The Montessori environment allows for uninterrupted blocks of time that encourage children to concentrate on their tasks, while simultaneously working at their own pace.
The classroom is prepared to promote independence and sense of order for self-directed learners.
Montessori prepares students with practical life and real world critical thinking skills.

JAIMIE MCNABB, PhD
Head of School, Lower Elementary Teacher
I started Gilbert Montessori because I myself have 3 young girls. I personally feel that my own children and all children thrive from individualized instruction, where the Montessori philosophy can be authentically implemented .
With the help of my Mother-In-Law (who has dedicated her life to the Montessori way) I decided to start my own school in my home. We have now grown our wonderful program to the Lower Elementary Level, grades 1st-3rd. This August of 2019, our program will be expanding to a new location, conveniently located next to our partners Spondeo Montessori.
I have a Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD in Psychology, along with 20 years of experience with children.
I highly value the Montessori approach and I want to create the best private Montessori school that is safe, beautifully prepared and affordable.
Head Primary Teacher

Ms. Whitney is passionate about teaching and the development of the whole child. She believes children learn best when they feel safe, comfortable and happy. Her mission is to guide and foster the child’s love for learning and respect of all things.
